HM Coastguard requested the launch of the charity's Atlantic 85, Rose of the Shires following concerns raised for 2 people on an SUP struggling against the current and offshore winds off Ogmore By Sea. Both casualties were taken onboard the lifeboat and dropped ashore.

Porthcawl RNLI's volunteer crew were paged by HM Coastguard following concerns raised to them by Porthcawl NCI for a person on an inflatable lilo drifting some distance out to sea in offshore winds off Sandy Bay (Coney Beach). HM Coastguard requested the launch of the charity’s Atlantic 85 Rose of the Shires to assist a wing surfer in difficulty off Porthcawl seafront. The casualty and their equipment were taken onboard the lifeboat and returned back to their launch site at Newton.

HM Coastguard paged Porthcawl RNLI crew and requested they launch to assess the situation and provide safety cover to Llantwit Major Coastguard Team. Whilst afloat on engine trials HM Coastguard requested the Atlantic 85 divert to assess the situation with a motor cruiser which was experiencing engine difficulties in Sandy Bay (Coney Beach). Once on scene the helm decided the best way to assist the casualty was to take it in tow into the marina.

HM Coastguard tasked Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew following a report 2 PWC’s (jet ski’s) were in difficulty. The lifeboat proceeded to Newton where it located the two PWC’s. One PWC had towed the other back to Newton Bay. On further investigation the crew discovered the owner of one of the PWC’s had got stuck on

The charity's D Class lifeboat D861 Hugo Missen was launched on service and made best speed to the location. Once on scene it was established that recovery by lifeboat would be high risk
