Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were tasked by HM Coastguard following a report of three paddleboards with five casualties onboard being blown out to sea by offshore winds at Rest Bay.
The charity’s Atlantic 85 lifeboat Rose of the Shires was launched on service and made good speed to the paddleboarders. All were taken onboard the lifeboat and dropped back ashore at Rest Bay.
