UK Coastguard tasked Porthcawl RNLI's volunteer crew to a person in difficulty in the water in Sandy Bay (Coney Beach) around 400m from the shore. The charity’s relief D class lifeboat, Super G II was launched on service and the casualty was swiftly located and assisted to safety. Porthcawl Coastguard also attended the incident.
