Both lifeboats were launched on service at the request of UK Coastguard to extract a casualty from Kenfig Sands (Sker Beach) who had fallen from a horse. Heavy fog and the casualty's remote location meant extraction by lifeboat was the safest option. The casualty had suspected pelvic injuries. We met ambulance paramedics at the beach
