Our D Class was launched on service following a call to Milford Haven Coastguard by Porthcawl Coastwatch of 2 kite surfers in difficulty off Trecco Bay. Paged following a report to Milford Haven Coastguard from Porthcawl Coastwatch of a kite surfer in difficulty at Sandy Bay. The kite surfer managed to self rescue and our crew arrived to find he had made it to the harbour slipway. The lifeboat was not launched but crew assisted the kite surfer at the slipway.

Our Atlantic 85 was launched on service to a kite surfer in difficulty off Rest Bay. He had snapped a line and was attempting to swim back to shore.
