D Class lifeboat launched to a multi agency incident at Llantwit Major Beach.

D Class launched at the request of UK Coastguard to 2 fisherman who were cut off by the tide at Witches Point, Southerndown. The casualties were brought onboard the lifeboat and transferred across to the main bay at Southerndown. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbH8YC1bh6M

UK Coastguard requested the launch of Porthcawl ILB to assist Porthcawl Coastguard with an injured person in the area of Rhych Point. The ILB launched & arrived on scene within a few minutes. Our Crew made their way ashore where the casualty was assessed and found to have injuries to her arm following a fall.

Launched to reports of two Kayakers in difficulty on Fairy Buoy. The person was seen to climb onto the buoy & started waving his arms. Our Atlantic 85 was launched to kayakers struggling against the tide near Hutchwns Point. Porthcawl National Coastwatch had been monitoring the kayakers and alerted UK Coastguard. The kayakers were brought onboard the lifeboat and taken back to Sandy Bay, from where they had launched.

Our volunteers launched both lifeboats to provide casualty care and assist our colleagues from Porthcawl Coastguard team with a casualty at Sker Point.
