Paged following a report to Milford Haven Coastguard from Porthcawl Coastwatch of a kite surfer in difficulty at Sandy Bay. The kite surfer managed to self rescue and our crew arrived to find he had made it to the harbour slipway. The lifeboat was not launched but crew assisted the kite surfer at the slipway.

Our Atlantic 85 was launched on service to a kite surfer in difficulty off Rest Bay. He had snapped a line and was attempting to swim back to shore. Paged to investigate reports of a small boat adrift at St Donats. After a short search the boat was located washed ashore at Nash Point. Area searched by Llantwit Major Coastguard search teams and our lifeboats with no persons found to be in any danger.

Our volunteers launched our Atlantic 85 on service this evening to assist a vessel with engine difficulties between Newton and Ogmore. The vessel was taken under tow and taken into Porthcawl marina. The D Class also launched to assist with manoeuvring the vessel through the narrow marina entrance and back onto the vessels mooring.
