The Atlantic 85 lifeboat was diverted from its training exercise following a report of a group of people attempting to cross the Ogmore River by a concerned resident of Ogmore By Sea. The crew searched the area along with Llantwit Major Coastguard Team with no persons found to be in any danger located. The lifeboat

UK Coastguard tasked our volunteer crew to assist a group of 14 people cut off by the tide on the Porthcawl side of the Ogmore River. A concerned member of the public had contacted the coastguard as they were worried the group may attempt to cross the river. Both the Atlantic 85 and D Class
Our Atlantic 85 lifeboat was tasked by UK Coastguard to persons in the water near Witches Point. The lifeboat arrived on scene to find the casualties had been recovered by our RNLI lifeguard colleagues. The crew were stood down and returned to station.

UK Coastguard requested the launch of the Atlantic 85 lifeboat following a report of three swimmers struggling in large swell and the current at Hutchwns Point. All three swimmers managed to get to safety shortly before the Atlantic 85 lifeboat arrived on scene and the lifeboat was stood down.
Both lifeboats were launched to conduct separate searches for missing children last seen in the water. Two children were missing at Rest Bay and one child at Sandy Bay. The Atlantic 85 assisted with the search at Rest Bay whilst the D Class assisted with the search at Sandy Bay. All children were found safe
