Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were paged by HM Coastguard following a report a lady was stuck in mud between the beach at Sandy Bay (Coney Beach) and the lifeboat launch slipway with the tide coming in around her.
Two volunteer crew who were already at the lifeboat station went to assist the lady and helped her from the mud and onto firm sand on the beach.
