As our Atlantic 85 was completing a tow at Newton UK Coastguard gave the crew a further tasking. The tasking was to a group of tombstoners at Ogmore Deeps which Porthcawl NCI had raised concerns for. We stayed on scene and gave some safety advice until our colleagues from Llantwit Major Coastguard arrived to provide further safety advice. Water changes depth with the tide and submerged items may not be visible and can cause serious injury or paralysis. Our advice would always be to go coasteering with a registered company as a safer alternative.
