Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were paged by HM Coastguard and tasked to assist with a multi-agency search off Porthcawl seafront. The charity’s Atlantic 85 Rose of the Shires and D Class Hugo Missen were launched to assist with the search.
South Wales Police, Porthcawl Coastguard and Port Talbot Coastguard were also all involved in the search. The lifeboats were stood down from the incident once all was resolved and returned to station to be made ready for service.
