Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew spotted three surfers in difficulty close to Rhych Point as they were preparing to recover from training exercise.
The crew onboard the charity’s Atlantic 85 Rose of the Shires managed to rescue one of the surfers whilst the two other surfers were too close to shore and made their way out onto rocks at Rhych Point.
The surfer was dropped ashore onto the beach at Sandy Bay.
In a coastal emergency dial 999 or 112 and ask for the Coastguard.
