Our volunteer crew were tasked by UK Coastguard to a group of 6 people and 2 dogs who were cut off by the tide at Nash Point. The group had walked from Llantwit Major along the coast and found themselves cut off as they reached the final part of their walk. They contacted UK Coastguard on 999 to advise of their predicament.

Our Atlantic 85 was first on scene and 2 crew went ashore to reassure the casualties before our D Class lifeboat arrived on scene. The casualties were transferred by the D Class from a ledge onto our larger Atlantic 85 lifeboat. All casualties and their dogs were transferred to Llantwit Major beach where we were met by our colleagues from Llantwit Major Coastguard.
