Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were tasked by HM Coastguard to investigate a report of Paddleboarders in difficulty at Newton Point.

The charity’s Atlantic 85 lifeboat Rose of the Shires was launched on service and made best speed to the location. Once on scene it was established that the paddleboarders had made it to shore without assistance and the crew were stood down and returned to station.
