HM Coastguard tasked both the charity’s inshore lifeboats to carry out a search for a paddleboarder reported to be in difficulties between Tusker Rock and Trecco Bay.

Both Lifeboats carried out a search of the area with nothing found. It was believed a red beach ball found on scene had been miss identified as a paddleboarder. The lifeboats were stood down with the call believed to be a false alarm with good intent.
