Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were tasked by HM Coastguard following a report that 2 people were cut off by the tide at Dunraven Bay, Southerndown.

The charity’s Atlantic 85 lifeboat Rose of the Shires was launched on service and made best speed to the location. Once on scene the crew veered back on their anchor line to reach the casualties taking both onboard the lifeboat along with their equipment.

The casualties were dropped ashore at the slipway at Dunraven Bay.
