Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were tasked by HM Coastguard to assist with a multi-agency search off Newton Point.
The charity’s Atlantic 85 lifeboat Rose of the Shires and D Class lifeboat Hugo Missen were launched on service and carried out a shoreline search as part of a multi-agency response.
After a search of around 45 minutes the lifeboats were stood down and returned to station where they were made ready for service.
