Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were tasked by HM Coastguard following a report that multiple people were cut off by the tide at Southerndown.

The charity’s Atlantic 85 lifeboat Rose of the Shires was launched on service and made best speed to the location. Once on scene it was established the people intended to remain in their location and wait for the tide to recede. The lifeboat was stood down and returned to station.
