Following the incidents at Ogmore river mouth the volunteer crew aboard the Atlantic 85 lifeboat made their way back towards Porthcawl when the crew received a further tasking request from UK Coastguard. Four people on inflatable stand up paddleboards were struggling against the current off the seafront in Porthcawl as they attempted to head back to Sandy Bay (Coney Beach). All 4 were taken onboard the lifeboat and dropped into the beach at Sandy Bay.
