Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were tasked by HM Coastguard to a MAYDAY following a report that a jetski was sinking off Newton Point.
The charity’s Atlantic 85 Rose of the Shires was launched on service arriving on scene within minutes. The crew recovered two casualties who were with the jet ski onto the lifeboat, both casualties did not require any further medical attention.
The helm of the lifeboat assessed the situation and made the decision to tow the jet ski back to Newton Beach to avoid it becoming a hazard to navigation.
