Whilst Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were out on a training exercise onboard the charity’s D Class lifeboat Hugo Missen the crew spotted two people who were cut off by the tide to the western side of Dunraven Bay.
The crew made contacted with the people. After realising it could be around 1.5 to 2 hours until they could make their own way back to the main bay they requested assistance and were taken onboard the lifeboat. They were dropped ashore at Dunraven Bay.
The lifeboat then continued with its training exercise.
