Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were tasked by HM Coastguard to assist a wind surfer who was reported to be in difficulty between the breakwater and Sandy Bay (Coney Beach).
The charity’s Atlantic 85 lifeboat Rose of the Shires was launched on service and took the casualty and their equipment onboard. The casualty was dropped ashore at the beach at Sandy Bay.
The lifeboat was then stood down from the incident and returned to station where the lifeboat was made ready for service.
