Whilst Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were out on a training exercise onboard the charity’s Atlantic 85 Rose of the Shires the crew were flagged down by two people who were trapped on the Porthcawl side of Ogmore River.
The pair had attempted to wade across but soon realised it was too deep. The lifeboat took the two people onboard and transported them across the river dropping them off onto the Ogmore side of the river.
The lifeboat then continued with its training exercise.
