Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were tasked by HM Coastguard to a report of two paddleboarders in dfficulty between Ogmore and Newton.
The charity’s Atlantic 85 Rose of the Shires made best speed to the location. Once on scene they located the paddleboarders who had made it ashore onto Newton Beach. They were taken onboard the lifeboat and dropped back to Ogmore by Sea.
The lifeboat was then stood down from the incident and returned to station.
