HM Coastguard tasked Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew to investigate a report they’d received from Porthcawl NCI that two paddleboarders were in difficulty.

The Atlantic 85 lifeboat was launched on service and proceeded to the scene. Shortly before the crew arrived on scene the paddleboarders managed to get themselves back to shore and required no further assistance.

The lifeboat was stood down and returned to the lifeboat station to be made ready for service.
