Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were tasked by HM Coastguard during their training exercise to provide immediate assistance to an adult and child in a small dinghy being swept around Newton Point.
The charity’s Atlantic 85 Rose of the Shires made best speed to the location and took the too casualties onboard the lifeboat. The casualties were dropped back to the beach at Trecco Bay and the lifeboat continued on its training exercise.
