Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were tasked by HM Coastguard following a report 2 surfers had been swept around the point at Rest Bay.
The charity’s D Class lifeboat Hugo Missen was launched on service and made best speed to Rest Bay. Once on scene it was established that all persons had made it out onto rocks and despite sustaining some minor cuts were otherwise safe and well. The lifeboat was then stood and made its way back to the lifeboat station.
