HM Coastguard tasked Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew to a report of a paddleboarder in difficulty off Porthcawl.

Following a thorough search of the area along with Porthcawl Coastguard and Llantwit Major Coastguard no one in difficulty was found.

The crew were stood down with the call believed to be a false alarm with good intent.

In a coastal emergency dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
