Porthcawl’s Atlantic 85 lifeboat was launched following a report of persons cut off by the tide at Newton Point. UK Coastguard had been alerted to the incident by Porthcawl NCI who had seen someone attempting to enter the water. Porthcawl Coastguard Team were also tasked to the incident. Upon arriving on scene the lifeboat found all persons safely ashore and were stood down from the incident. Porthcawl Coastguard attended to check the persons involved were safe and well and required no further medical attention.
