Our volunteer crew launched the Atlantic 85 lifeboat, Rose Of The Shires to a report of two people on a Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) struggling to return to shore in strong Easterly winds (offshore) at Rest Bay. The lifeboat made best speed to the location and located the casualties approximately 150m off the beach. One casualty was sat on the SUP with the other attempting to swim the board ashore at the rear. Both were taken onboard the lifeboat and dropped ashore onto the beach at Rest Bay requiring no further medical attention.
