Our volunteers launched both lifeboats on service following reports of a kayaker in difficulties at Newton Point. The Atlantic 85 recovered the kayaker from the water whilst the D Class (IB1) recovered the kayaker. All were brough back to the lifeboat station where the kayaker was checked over by paramedics.
Both our Atlantic 85 and IB1 lifeboats launched on service to conduct a search for a despondent male believed to be in the Ogmore area. After a search of approximately 30 minutes the missing person was located inland and the lifeboats were stood down.
Both our Atlantic 85 and IB1 lifeboats were diverted from their training exercise and requested to undertake a search for a missing person in the Newton area. The person was found safely ashore and both boats returned to station.
