UK Coastguard tasked Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew to investigate reports from National Coastwatch Institution – Porthcawl of a person with young children attempting to cross at the mouth of the river Ogmore.
Both lifeboats were launched on service and carried out a search of the area with nothing further found. The lifeboats were stood down after around an hour and returned to station to be made ready for service. Llantwit Major Coastguard was also tasked to the incident.
