Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were tasked by HM Coastguard to assist with a multi-agency incident near Southerndown.

The charity’s Atlantic 85 lifeboat Rose of the Shires and D Class lifeboat Hugo Missen were launched on service and made best speed to the location. Once it was established that the crew could provide no further assistance to other agencies they were stood down and returned to station where the lifeboats were made ready for service.
