Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were paged to assist the charity’s Atlantic 85 Rose of the Shires with multiple paddleboarders in difficulty in offshore winds at Ogmore by Sea.

When the charity’s D class Hugo Missen arrived on scene the crew recovered one paddleboard and three casualties, All casualties were returned to Ogmore beach with one requiring casualty care. The lifeboats were then stood down from the incident and returned to station.
