Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were tasked by HM Coastguard whilst out on a training exercise following a concerned 999 call for a dinghy with two people onboard being blown out to sea from Newton beach.
The D Class immediately proceeded and located the dinghy with two people onboard who were relieved to see the lifeboat. Both were taken onboard the lifeboat and returned to the beach at Newton.
In a coastal emergency dial 999 or 112 and ask for the Coastguard.
