Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were tasked by HM Coastguard to assist two paddleboarders who were been assisted by a lifeguard in offshore winds at Rest Bay.

The charity’s Atlantic 85 lifeboat Rose of the Shires made best speed to the location. Once on scene the crew located the paddleboarders and lifeguard and recovered them onto the lifeboat. The casualties were then dropped ashore back at Rest Bay.
