Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were tasked by HM Coastguard following a report of two paddleboarders being blown out to sea by offshore winds and tidal currents.
The charity’s Atlantic 85 lifeboat Rose of the Shires was launched on service and made good speed to the paddleboarders who had originally set out from Trecco Bay. They were located off the seafront. Both were taken onboard the lifeboat and dropped back ashore at Trecco Bay.
