Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were tasked by HM Coastguard following a report of two people on an inflatable kayak struggling in offshore winds at Ogmore By Sea..
The charity’s Atlantic 85 Rose of the Shires and D Class Hugo Missen were launched on service making best speed to the location. The Atlantic 85 crew arrived on scene first and the crew located the casualties taking both onboard the lifeboat and dropping them ashore at Ogmore. With both casualties safely ashore the D class crew were stood down from the incident.
