Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were paged by HM Coastguard and tasked to assist with a multi-agency search off Sandy Bay. The charity’s Atlantic 85 Rose of the Shires was launched to assist with the search. Porthcawl Coastguard, Port Talbot Coastguard, The Mumbles Lifeboat RNLI and the Coastguard Rescue Helicopter from Newquay were also all involved in the search.
