Porthcawl RNLI’s volunteer crew were paged by HM Coastguard to locate and assist two people on a paddleboard off Ogmore by Sea following a report they’d received from our RNLI lifeguard colleagues.
Once on scene the lifeboat conducted a search of the area and found the paddleboarder had made it ashore unaided. Whilst returning to station the lifeboat checked on a kayaker but found to be fishing. The lifeboat was then stood down by the coastguard and returned to the lifeboat station to be made ready for service.
If you need help or spot anyone else in difficulty at the coast, dial 999 or 112 and ask for the Coastguard.
