Following the earlier incident at Ogmore river mouth the crew remained on scene for 5-10 minutes doing a quick search of the area to ensure all persons at the river mouth were accounted for and all safely ashore.

As the lifeboat returned back to the river mouth they witnessed a father and young child on an inflatable swan capsizing in the river mouth. The father was focused on keeping his son above the water but struggling in the current at the river mouth. A crew member entered the water from the lifeboat to help keep both casualties afloat and they were then pulled to the lifeboat on a throw line and both casualties taken onboard the lifeboat. Both were a little shaken up following the incident but required no further medical attention and they were dropped ashore on the Ogmore side of the river.
