UK Coastguard paged our volunteer crew to assist a Personal Water Craft (PWC) with two people onboard which had broken down off Porthcawl seafront.
The charity’s Atlantic 85 lifeboat ‘Rose of the Shires’ was launched on service. The crew located the PWC and its two occupants near to Fairy Buoy and the PWC was taken under tow and back to Newton Beach.
The lifeboat then returned to station where it was washed down, disinfected, refuelled and made ready for service.
In a coastal emergency dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
