Our volunteer crew were tasked by UK Coastguard following a report 2 surfers were struggling against the current and being swept around Hutchwns Point from Rest Bay.

As the lifeboat arrived on scene we found both surfers had made it out onto the rocks. Our colleagues from Porthcawl Coastguard who were also on scene assisted the surfers up the rocks and onto the top of the point. No further medical assistance was required. The crew returned to station where the lifeboat was made ready for its next call.
