Our Atlantic 85 lifeboat was launched following a request from UK Coastguard. A girl on a Stand Up Paddleboard was unable to get back to the beach at Pink Bay and despite her best efforts the tide and offshore wind were too strong. Her father was concerned for her safety and had called UK Coastguard.

When the crew arrived on scene they found she had made her way out onto the rocks at the end of Sker Point. She was assisted onto the lifeboat by the crew and taken back into the beach at Pink Bay along with her equipment.

Porthcawl Coastguard were also paged to this incident and our RNLI lifeguard colleagues met us on the beach when we brought the girl ashore.
