Both the Atlantic 85 and D Class lifeboats were tasked by UK Coastguard following reports that a film crew of 12 people were cut off by the tide at Southerndown. The Atlantic 85 lifeboat and Llantwit Major Coastguard Team arrived on scene simultaneously and were quickly able to establish that the group were not cut off by the tide where they were positioned. The Coastguard Team gave safety advice and the lifeboats were stood down and returned to station.
