One of Porthcawl RNLI’s new neighbours has set themselves a target to raise £10,000 for the lifeboat station. Having been open for little more than a month and already Coffi Co and its #coffiheads have raised £1277.85 for Porthcawl RNLI!

Helen Joseph from Coffi Co Lounge, Porthcawl said, ‘We’re delighted to be supporting the local lifeboat crew especially as our customers get to see the crew arriving for callouts and the lifeboats launching while enjoying a coffee. Initially we decided to donate the ticket sales from our opening night. The night was a great success and our director decided to set a fundraising target of £10,000 ongoing. Most the funds are raised through ticket sales of our ‘Summer of Music’ events. Our #coffiheads get to enjoy a great evening of live music and help to save lives at sea at the same time. Keep an eye on our facebook page and our chalkboard in the store for details of upcoming events.”

Porthcawl Lifeboat Operations Manager, Phil Missen MBE said, “every lifeboat launch wouldn’t be possible without the support of the local community through putting money in our collection boxes. It’s great that Coffi Co have chosen to support us and aim to raise such a large amount for the lifeboat station at Porthcawl.”
